Fees & Insurance
At Inner Peace Psychological Care, we believe access to mental health support should feel clear, compassionate, and free of unnecessary stress. Below is an overview of our fees, accepted insurance plans, and important billing information to help you prepare for care.
Our clinicians provide personalized, evidence-based services — from therapy to comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations — with a commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and collaboration.
Insurance-Based Services
We accept the following insurance plans for therapy and psychological/neuropsychological testing:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO
- Aetna PPO
- Humana
- United Healthcare / Optum PPO
- TriWest-certified practice
Coverage varies by clinician, service type, and individual plan. Before scheduling, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider to confirm:
- Behavioral health benefits
- Deductible and out-of-pocket costs
- Co-pay or co-insurance requirements
- Pre-authorization needs (for therapy or testing)
A Good Faith Estimate is available upon request and is provided to all uninsured or self-pay clients in accordance with the No Surprises Act.
Self-Pay & Out-of-Network Therapy
If we are not in-network with your insurance provider, you may still work with us on a self-pay or out-of-network basis. Upon request, we can provide a Superbill that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
Doctoral-Level Clinicians
- Initial Intake: $205
- Follow-Up Therapy: $170
- Couples Therapy: $190
Master’s-Level Clinicians
- Initial Intake: $165
- Follow-Up Therapy: $145
- Couples Therapy: $165
Psychological & Neuropsychological Testing
- Initial Intake: $210
- Testing Administration, Interpretation, Report Writing, and Feedback: $210/hr
- Comprehensive testing fees vary based on scope; individualized estimates are provided prior to testing.
Non-Insurance Services (Patient Responsibility)
Insurance companies typically do not cover administrative or non-clinical services. Fees include:
- IEP/School or External Meeting Representation: Fees vary based on the purpose and scope of the meeting. Pricing is determined on a case-by-case basis following a consultation.
- Records Review: $45 per 15 minutes
- Collateral Contacts / Provider Collaboration: $45 per 15 minutes
- Document Preparation (non-test reports): $45 per 15 minutes
- Letter Writing / Disability Forms: $45 per 15 minutes
- Phone Consultation: $45 per 15 minutes
Please note: Inner Peace does not provide forensic or custody evaluations. We do not offer medication management or psychiatric services.
Payment & Office Policies
Payment is due at the time of service unless billing through insurance. We accept: credit and debit cards, mobile wallets (contactless pay), HSA/FSA cards, Zelle, and check.
Credit Card Requirement
A valid credit card is required to schedule an appointment. You would not be charged. New clients must sign the Credit Card Authorization Form within 24 hours of booking. Returning clients who have not been seen in 3+ months must complete a new Informed Consent and Credit Card Authorization Form; additional forms may also be required.
Cancellation Policy
To avoid a fee, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Late Cancellation / No-Show Fee: $75.00 per booked hour. Insurance does not cover missed appointments; the fee is the client’s responsibility. Cancellations or rescheduling must be completed through the Client Portal or your clinician’s agreed-upon communication method.
Clients Outside of Illinois
Our clinicians can provide interjurisdictional telepsychology in over 43 states through PSYPACT. See if one of our psychologists can see you where you live: PSYPACT map. Contact us at info@innerpeacepsych.com to confirm eligibility.
Out-of-Network Reminder
If we are not in-network with your insurance, you may still be eligible for out-of-network benefits. A Superbill can be requested directly through your Client Portal. If your insurance does not pay for services received, the remaining balance is the client’s responsibility.
